It’s in making and not be knowing what’s going to be the final shape, important is the process. Practicing the ability to look deeply, see past the mundane to get what might otherwise be invisible. To immerse into beauty of simple moments of the turning year before you arrive to break into abstraction. KONOHA - B Gently moving Kinetic sculpture.
KONOHA –A, a work that immerged out of my leaf Collection – the very first body of work that rooted this practice in process and expression. This kinetic sculpture holds a beautiful spot in Shirsha Guha Thakurta stunning home overlooking the river in Calvim, Goa. The work emerges from a memory not bound to a single experience. The warmth of a place, the texture of a passing moment, the low frequencies of quiet inviting light and breeze to wander, together contributes to a deeper spatial awareness. The KONOHA Series seeks to hold and release that ephemeral memory.
Expressing nature’s countless serene moments of stillness when the breeze weaves through the leaves and branches. This is EARTH VERSES - Independent arrangement from the series Konoha. The composition holds the subtle depth of that zen moment, felt on aa top of a hill - gazing into the rocks and observe grasses, weeds and wild flowers.
Basking in morning sun inhaling the crisp air and soaking in golden rays, while being serenaded by the buzzing melodies of the forest. MOTH BERRY – an extension of Konoha series, dedicated to that one encounters of quietly camouflaging months within the delicate twining wines. Work installed at a minimalistic home in Goa.
This work named as "Una", what began as a special creation for a friend. Something warm and heartfelt, expanded into a three-foot kinetic sculpture. This commissioned version integrates elements that speaks of growth – to fruit, to thrive and to flourish. A winged seed form hangs at the heart of the mobile, spinning constantly in the moving breeze, while the sculpture itself drifts in quiet, gentle rotation throughout the day.
